Pino Pascali. Lavori per la pubblicità

Frittelli arte contemporanea is pleased to present to the public a large collection of works for advertising by Pino Pascali, made between 1958 and 1967, during his long and fruitful collaboration with Sandro Lodolo, whose studio (Lodolo Film) produced dozens of TV theme songs and advertisements.

The exhibition documents and investigates Pino Pascali's work in the world of advertising, highlighting how the themes characterising his sculpture were in fact already present and began to be expressed in these drawings as early as the late 1950s.

On this occasion over 100 works have been collected, most of them previously unpublished, all documented in the catalogue accompanying the exhibition. The volume starts with an introduction by Maurizio Calvesi, followed by a systematisation of the artist's work for advertising by Claudia Lodolo, Sandro's daughter, for years an attentive and esteemed researcher of Pino Pascali's commissioned production.

The exhibition catalogue, which includes a rich repertoire of images, takes an in-depth look at Pascali's numerous works in relation to his various television and advertising projects, and is intended as a further tool for getting to know Pascali's artistic and human life, through testimonies and interviews with people who knew him closely.

We have chosen to document through a video the considerations and the stories of those who studied or knew Pascali, in order to bring his complexity closer to the public. On show will be the montage of interviews with Maurizio Calvesi, Augusta Monferrini, Tommaso Trini, Paola Pitagora, Renato Mambor, Marco Giusti and Sandro Lodolo.
