Tomaso Binga is one of the artists invited to the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi's project “Italia 70 - I nuovi mostri” curated by Massimiliano Gioni, which has been invading the streets of Milan since April 8, 2024, on the occasion of MIART, Milan's international modern and contemporary art fair and the city's Art Week and Design Week, spreading across the streets of Milan hundreds of images of artworks created by 70 artists, including great masters and emerging artists. 

A massive public poster campaign that carpets the city and involves everyone in a treasure hunt from one end of Milan to the other (from the Monumental Cemetery to the Historical Centre, from City Life to Porta Romana). A temporary collection of art en plain air, a metropolitan museum, hidden among the billboard advertisements, reflecting the desires and anxieties of Italy today.

For this project, Tomaso Binga has chosen to have her artwork entitled “Riflettendo sulle Riflessioni” (1992) reproduced on posters. This is part of an important performance from 1991, called “Riflessioni a puntate”, which the artist developed over the course of a year.

Every month, Binga sent a message card, i.e. one of her “reflections”, to his friends “of the heart and art”. At the beginning of the following year and more precisely on 17 January 1992 from 4pm to 8pm, Binga asked all his friends to display the 12 postcards, all at the same time, in order to create an “energetic chain necessary to access different ways of relating to matter, to the space-time dimension, to making art”.

One of them was already dedicated to the “(un)volunteers to the war”, a reflection Binga wanted to give space to here as well.
